Over the twenty years of coaching lacrosse, GAME ON founder Julie Olivier has observed parent(s) exasperated by the recruiting process and dollars spent, asking themselves – was it all worth it?
GAME ON educates the athlete and parent(s) about the college recruiting process. No matter where you are in your college search process, we will create a plan together to achieve your goal of playing lacrosse at the college level. Julie Olivier will work with you through the journey in these key areas:
Understand how the college recruiting process works: What college coaches are looking for, how best to connect
Explore potential college lacrosse programs: List of potential colleges, geographic regions, academic programs
Identify which college camps or tournaments to attend: Regional tournaments, national tournaments, college prospect camps, costs associated
Learn how to communicate effectively and get noticed by college coaches: Written correspondence, highlight films, interview readiness
Find your unique brand: Learn how to stand out as a recruit and differentiate yourself
Discern which college lacrosse program is the best fit for the athlete: A systemized approach to help you make the ultimate decision
It is a time of self-discovery, discernment, action and ultimate offer and acceptance. Athletes will feel confident, empowered and ultimate ownership of the recruiting process. Parent(s) will feel involved and not on the sideline, with the help of an advisor and advocate, to guide them and the athlete through the recruiting process.
GAME ON begins with a 1.5 hour introduction zoom call with the athlete and parent(s) to build a customized recruiting roadmap. Sessions continue one time per week via zoom. At the end of each session, a recap is sent summarizing points and “to-do’s.” Fees are based on an hourly basis.
